THEBA Young Women's Service
THEBA Young Women service addressess the issues that Young Women are facing today and the effects they experience due to the effect of being vulnerable to the risk of homelessness.
International Women's Day 2008

Staff and Young Women accessing THEBA Young Women's Service attneded their first International Women's Day at Hyde Park Sydney and took part in their first Women's March.
With our balloons flying high the marchers entered Hyde park in glorious cheer and we held a stall where Women could find out about the work of THEBA, complete a postcard to Julia Gillard as Australia's first female Deputy Prime Minister, Woman to Woman, to advise her of the issues facing Women today.
We also had the Women's Wishing Line where Women gave their wishes for other Women and sparkled and glitter up stars to add to our THEBA Woman Canvas Project.
We asked the visitors to our stall to consider the value of stewardship for Young Women in the community and to join our mailing list to keep up to date on events, groups and Women's workshops.
We asked Women to write a letter of support and encouragement to Young Women in the community so that we may produce the letters and the wishes into a publication to continue to inspire Young Women accessing THEBA.
From the clients and staff at THEBA a very big and warm thank you for visiting our stall and for your positive feedback on our service.

After discussion with current and past clients of THEBA, we have been made aware, that the stewardship THEBA has offered to them in their Young Womanhood has been irriplaceable. We are asking community minded people, organisations and corporations to consider sponsoring the well-being of Young Women accessing our Service to make a living difference to their lives as they strive for independence.
